Our web services run on Cloudflare (Asia Pacific Primary Database Region), Firebase / Google Cloud (US/Europe), and AWS SES (Mumbai, India). Payment invoice data for UAE students is stored locally in the UAE for 7 years, while payment invoice data for Indian students is stored locally in India for 8 years under statutory regulations.

Personal Information You Disclose to Us
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when registering on our Services, expressing interest in our platform, or communicating with us directly. This includes:
- Student & User Identifiers: Full names, email addresses, phone numbers, account passwords, and account display names.
- Parent or Guardian Details: Email addresses and WhatsApp numbers for parents or legal guardians of students under the age of 13.
- Payment Verification Records: Payment proofs, bank transaction confirmations, and billing receipts uploaded through our website forms.
2. Children's Privacy & Account Verification
Providing a safe learning environment is fundamental to TutorX. We maintain strict protocols regarding children's privacy and account security:
Age Verification & Temporary Records
During the registration process, students are asked for their date of birth. We do not save the student's exact date of birth in our primary user database. Instead, for students identified as being under 13 years of age, account identifiers are held in a separate internal verification system for a maximum of 15 days while parental or legal guardian consent is established.
Parental Consent & Contact
Students under the age of 13 are required to provide contact information (email address and WhatsApp number) for a parent or legal guardian. Upon creation of the account, our team or automated systems reach out to confirm that the legal guardian has granted permission for the student to participate in our platform.
Google OAuth Sign-In
When a student registers or logs in using "Sign in with Google," their account is automatically categorized as verified. In compliance with Google's official Account Age Policy, users must meet minimum age requirements (at least 13 years old in most jurisdictions) to hold a Google Account. As a result, Google-authenticated accounts are treated as verified 13+ users upon creation.
Unverified Accounts & Deletion
If an account registered manually via email is not verified within 15 days, the account and all associated unverified registration details are automatically purged from our active databases. Users whose unverified accounts have been purged are welcome to re-register at any time using the same credentials.
Verified users may request the full deletion of their account and personal data at any time by sending an email from their registered email address to support@tutorx.academy.
Account Protection
To guard against fraudulent activity and unauthorized account takeovers, users may update their profile details as needed, but are restricted to updating their account display name once every 6 months.

We process your personal information to deliver educational programs, manage user accounts, verify guardian authorization, review uploaded payment documentation, send transaction and notification emails, protect against fraud, and comply with governing statutory requirements.

We process personal data based on legitimate legal grounds: your explicit consent, the performance of our educational agreement with you, compliance with applicable financial and consumer protection laws in the UAE and India, and our legitimate operational interests in maintaining platform integrity.

TutorX is headquartered in Dubai, UAE, and operates across the region and India. Depending on the service component, user data is processed across regional cloud facilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure: Core platform data, primary database, and file storage are hosted across Cloudflare infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region, Firebase (US/Europe), and AWS SES in Mumbai, India.
- UAE Payment Records: Payment invoices and transaction data for students located in the UAE are stored and hosted within the United Arab Emirates.
- Indian Payment Records: Payment invoices and transaction data for students located in India are stored and hosted within India.
9. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We retain personal information for the duration of your active account relationship with us, subject to the following standard retention schedules:
- Unverified Account Data: Automatically deleted after 15 days.
- Temporary Under-13 Verification Records: Stored for a maximum of 15 days after account creation, then deleted.
- UAE Financial Records: Payment invoice data for UAE students is retained within the UAE for 7 years in compliance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 47 on Corporate Tax and accounting standards.
- Indian Financial Records: Payment invoice data for Indian students is retained within India for 8 years as required under the Indian Companies Act and statutory tax guidelines.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to secure your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or modification. While we employ industry-standard safeguards, no internet-based system can be guaranteed completely immune to threats, and users are encouraged to maintain secure login practices.
